We believe transparency is part of premium. Here is exactly where CluckCabin comes from and what we're certifying before we ship.
Materials & origin
FSC-certified European walnut, powder-coated galvanized steel, marine-grade stainless hardware, and food-safe polymers. Wood is sourced and milled in Northern Italy; metalwork and final assembly take place in our partner facility in Portugal.
Target certifications
Targeting UL 1995 / IEC 60335 for electrical safety, FCC Part 15 and CE/UKCA for wireless and EMC compliance. Independent third-party testing is scheduled before first shipment.
Manufacturing approach
Small-batch production runs of 50 units. Every cabin is hand-finished, electronically tested, and serial-numbered. Each unit ships with its own QC report.
Honest delivery timeline
First Edition 01 deliveries begin Q2 2026, starting in the US and Canada, then Europe and Israel in Q3 2026. Reservation holders are notified of their delivery window in writing 60 days in advance.

Why I built CluckCabin
It started with my kids. We wanted them to grow up knowing where food actually comes from — to collect an egg in the morning and eat it at breakfast. But every chicken coop I found meant the same trade-offs: the smell, the noise, the daily mess, and something that looked wrong in a modern backyard. No family I knew was willing to accept all that, and neither was I. So I set out to engineer the compromise away. Three years, dozens of prototypes, and a lot of obsessing over airflow, acoustics and walnut later, CluckCabin is the coop I wished existed — quiet, odor-free, beautiful, and self-managing. Fresh eggs, zero friction. That's the whole idea.

CluckCabin starts at $4,900 for Cabin 01, which includes the full cabin, carbon filtration, automated feeding and watering, app monitoring, and a 2-year warranty. The Signature edition ($7,400) adds concierge white-glove installation, a 5-year warranty and an annual maintenance visit. Hens, feed and bedding are not included — we'll help you source healthy local hens.
It depends on your city and, in some communities, your HOA. Most areas allow a small flock of hens (roosters are often restricted), but rules vary. We recommend checking your local ordinance before reserving — and we're happy to help. Your $99 reservation is fully refundable if the rules don't work for you.
The cabin is insulated and climate-controlled to keep your hens comfortable year-round. Ventilation and heating adjust automatically, and the app alerts you if conditions ever move outside the safe range.
The cabin is built from galvanized steel and insulated panels with secured, locking access points designed to keep out foxes, raccoons and birds of prey. The app notifies you of any unexpected access.
Healthy hens in a clean, climate-controlled environment rarely fall ill, but animals are animals. The app monitors flock-health conditions, and we provide a care guide plus help finding an avian vet. CluckCabin reduces maintenance — it doesn't replace basic animal care.
The app collects environmental data (temperature, humidity, system status) and, if enabled, camera footage of the cabin interior. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, stored on secure servers, and never sold or shared. You can disable the camera anytime.
Cabin 01 includes a 2-year warranty; Signature includes 5 years. Reservations are fully refundable until your unit enters production. After delivery, you have 30 days to return for a full refund.
